Well, its here......the temps have dropped and the clocks are turned back. Winter is looming and, for some of us, that means motivation is waning. The desire to stay in bed a little longer in the morning or to head straight home after work tests our momentum daily. One day of skipping your workout can easily turn into a week, a month or a season. And we all know how hard it is to get that routine back once it is lost. Don't let this winter get the best of you! Stay motivated and head into bikini season one step ahead! Yes, I said bikini season....spring break will be here before you know it. So, use these strategies to make sure your workouts don't wane and your booties don't droop during these colder, darker months.

  • Sit down on Sunday evenings and schedule your workouts for the week. Just like you would your kids sports schedule....mark off that time for yourself and don't let anything override it.

  • Pack your gym bag the night before and head to class straight from work. Stopping home can be detrimental!

  • Or...for the morning ladies, set out your workout clothes before you go to bed and put them on immediately upon waking. Sometimes, I don't even let myself shower till I've worked out ;)

  • Buy yourself a cute pair of leg warmers- they're functional and fashionable!

  • Keep a workout log or diary...it feels good to see all that you've accomplished.

  • Post a motivational pic of you or maybe just of the bikini body that you want this summer! Keep your eyes on the prize.

  • Bring a friend....nothing inspires motivation like a workout buddy! Plan your schedule with that bestie that you've been dying to see but haven't had time to make happen.

So don't let a gloomy weather forecast bring you down. Book your classes now and get cozy at the barre with us!
