Shannen LeBrun- Barre Instructor
Shannen grew up in Baltimore and began training in dance at the age of 8. She continued this training throughout her school years and into college. Shannen received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Towson University in 2014. She began to teach for her dance studio while in college and started to fall in love with the teaching side of things. It was that love for teaching that propelled her to become a certified Zumba instructor and later a Baltimore Barre Instructor. Shannen aims to bring her students that same joy she feels from moving the body and wants each student to leave feeling stronger and happier than before!
Julie Perzan- Barre and Pilates Instructor
Julie has been teaching Barre and Balletone since 2016. She enjoys helping her clients gain flexibility, core strength and muscular endurance through creative choreography and uplifting music. Julie is also a Reformer Instructor and looks forward to sharing her love of Pilates with clients from all age groups and experience levels. Julie is so excited to join Towne Barre!
Trish Voegtlin- SoulBody Barre Instructor
Trish has always promoted a healthy mind, body, and soul. She grew up running track, cross country, and teaching group exercise classes in college at Clarion University where she studied Elementary Education. She shared her passion for teaching with her elementary students for 8 years. In 2008 she received her Master’s in School Counseling and has been working as an Elementary School Counselor for the past 10 years. She started taking barre classes with Tammy and Anne Marie and fell in love with the way it made her mind and body feel. She became certified in Soulbody Barre in October 2017 and began teaching and sharing her love of barre at a local gym in Baltimore. Trish loves to help motivate others through exercise, healthy eating, and having a positive mindset. When she is not exercising or teaching barre, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters while cheering them on during their soccer and lacrosse games.
Jennifer Speargas- Barre Instructor
Jen has been taking barre with Tammy and Anne Marie for years and fell in the love with the way it makes her feel. She particularly likes the positive impacts on her strength, balance and mindfulness. Her love of barre led her to begin training as an instructor and she is very excited to be teaching in the warm and supportive community that exists at Towne Barre. Jen has been practicing law since 1999, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons—never a dull moment!
Marley Keller- Yoga and Barre Instructor
Marley’s extensive background in ballet, modern dance and psychology helped set the foundation for her career as a yoga instructor and yoga therapist. Marley has studied Eastern and Western psychology, labanotation, movement analysis, Skinner Releasing Technique, and Bartenieff Fundamentals. Although mainly influenced by Para Yoga, Iyengar yoga and Anusara yoga, Marley brings elements of various styles of yoga into her classes and one on one sessions. She is trained in prenatal yoga, yoga for athletes, kids yoga, preteen and teen yoga, and yoga for special conditions. She specializes in one-on-one yoga therapy for people with chronic and acute medical conditions while covering a wide range of yogic topics. She has been teaching Yoga full-time in group, corporate, and private settings in the Baltimore area since 2007. After participating in Barre classes since 2008, Marley finally decided it was time to take the next step and received her Barre certification from Anne Marie Aristone and Tammy Irby at Towne Barre in 2021."
Tracy Robinson- Barre and Pilates Instructor
Tracy has been dancing since the age of 5, and holds a B.F.A in Dance Performance from Towson University. She currently teaches many genres of dance throughout Maryland. Tracy discovered Barre in 2013, and received her barre training through Xtend Barre that same year. She is also certified in Pilates Reformer through Balanced Body. Tracy loves sharing her passion for dance and movement through Barre and Pilates. She is very excited to be joining the esteemed Towne Barre team!
Caitlin McElfatrick- Pilates Instructor
Caitlin grew up in Baltimore County and has a lifelong love of movement and fitness. She has studied Pilates since 2018 and was inspired to start teaching by her own training sessions with Anne Marie. As a Balanced Body certified Reformer instructor, she brings a creative approach to teaching Pilates and is always looking for new moves and methods to help clients reach their goals. Caitlin aims to share her love of Pilates with beginner and experienced clients alike, helping them gain strength, flexibility and confidence. When not training or teaching Pilates, she enjoys hiking, dancing and spending time with her boyfriend and two cats.
Brittany Brothers- Barre Instructor
Brittany has been a dancer most of her life. Her training included ballet, jazz, and tap. She taught dance for years and was a member of several dance companies. When it was time to hang up her ballet slippers, Brittany discovered Towne Barre. She quickly fell in love with barre and found it to be the perfect transition from dance. She realized she missed teaching, so she took the next step and completed her Barre Instructor Certification with Tammy and Anne Marie. Brittany is so excited to be a part of the Towne Barre team and hopes to motivate and inspire others to be the best versions of themselves, no matter where they are in their fitness journey!
Judy Weidel- Barre Instructor
Judy discovered her passion for Barre five years ago when Towne Barre opened its doors in Towson. Through her own personal journey, she has experienced the transformative power of Barre and its ability to strengthen both mind and body. As a woman in her 60’s, Judy understands the importance of adapting and modifying exercise to meet individual needs. She firmly believes in the significance of core strengthening and embracing modifications to achieve optimal results. With over 32 years of experience as a Salon owner, Judy is a natural people person and possesses strong leadership, organizational and customer service skills. Her dedication to personal growth has not only transformed her own life but has also inspired her to share her passion for teaching with others. As a Towne Barre instructor, Judy is thrilled to continue her journey, empowering others to embrace their strength and achieve their fitness goals. She is committed to providing a positive experience, fostering a sense of confidence, and helping others discover their own potential.
