After years of teaching and practicing the pilates principles in the studio, we want to encourage you to put these principles in motion! This course will focus on how everything from our everyday movements to our competitive sports training can benefit from incorporating the same principles that keep us aligned at the barre and balanced on the reformer. Joseph Pilates did not intend for the practice of contrology to be confined to a studio. His intention was for these exercises to change the way you move through your daily life. These practices and principles are that which helps us to move with ease, economy and efficiency. For five weeks we will break down and discuss these principles, work on mastering them in the studio and taking them outdoors for a run/walk. We will conclude our course by coming together for a great cause and participating in the Red Shoe Shuffle on April 14.
